Valentina Rosselli was a Milanese photojournalist born on December 25 1942 created by the world renowned Milanese artist, Guido Crepax. Inspired by the American Actress, Louise Brooks, Valentina was often depicted with her fabulous bob-cut hairstyle and Hasselblad camera. Always ahead of her time, Valentina became a timeless Italian“femme fatale” whose boyfriend, Philip Rembrandt was a superhero. She was first introduced in the Linus Magazine in 1965 and became an icon of style, sex appeal and strength in the ‘60s and ‘70s throughout Italy. In fact, she was by choice, a single mother in a time wherein which this was considered unusual. Crepax’s character, Valentina had a vivid dream life, often erotic and surreal.
